WELCOME TO AFP OF CENTRAL OKLAHOMA
Mayor David Holt became Oklahoma City’s 38th mayor in 2018. He was elected in 2018 with 78.5 percent of the vote, the largest percentage achieved by a non-incumbent since 1947. In 2022, he was re-elected with more votes than any candidate for Mayor since 1959. Holt is the first Native American mayor of Oklahoma City. In 2025, he will become President of the United States Conference of Mayors. In 2023, he was named “100 Next” by TIME.
Mayor Holt’s “One OKC” message reflects his belief that Oklahoma City can continue to thrive only if we set aside the things that divide us and find common purpose. In his second year in office, Mayor Holt shepherded the development of MAPS 4, an ambitious, $1.1 billion package that will address 16 critical challenges and opportunities. MAPS 4 received a record 72 percent approval from the voters. In 2023, Mayor Holt secured a commitment from the Oklahoma City Thunder to remain in Oklahoma City for thirty more years, in exchange for a new arena that was ultimately supported by 71 percent of voters.
Mayor Holt also serves as Dean of the Oklahoma City University School of Law. His wife Rachel, the President & CEO of the United Way of Central Oklahoma, have two children.
